Final Creative Professional Showcase at UIC College BSD Campus


In UIC, theories are turned into practices. On May 15th, 2019, the UIC Marketing and Design students gathered in the BSD campus to present their final projects in booths. Experts from the specific fields were also present, providing feedbacks based on their specialization. All the hardwork of the students are finally paid off at the end of the day, after receiving useful feedbacks and occasional compliments. This event is could surely provide valuable lessons for the students, as they are soon graduating and facing the real world.

  Today is a special day for UniSadhuGuna. A total proceeds of IDR 10,233,534 has been donated to the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOSF) from activities which were initiated last February 2021, namely  "USG Education X BOSF Virtual Creative Showcase Green Movement Starts Now" . Through the series of activities, UniSadhuGuna students from Uniprep Junior College and UIC College presented their projects  to educate the students and public about the importance of Orangutans' existence in the ecosystem. The funds raised for BOSF were obtained from the sales of merchandise and fashion products made by UIC College students as well as through a donation campaign by Uniprep Junior College students through Kitabisa.com.

Uniprep Junior College and UIC College Care for Orangutan Conservation

The existence of orangutans play an important role in the sustainability of the forest and the habitat for flora and fauna on the islands of Sumatra and Kalimantan. Forest conversion, illegal logging practices, and fires on both islands have contributed to the decline in the number of orangutans, amounting as much as 80% in the last 3 generations. According to International Union for Conservation of Nature's Red List of Threatened Species (IUCN), there were only 13,846 Sumatran and 800 Tapanuli orangutans in 2016. These numbers bring them to the category of critically endangered species. To participate in the orangutan conservation movement, Uniprep Junior College (UJC) and UIC College students collaborated with the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation ( BOSF ) in the  "USG Education X  BOSF  Virtual Creative Showcase Green Movement Starts Now"  activity. Earth Day Commemoration

He Who Plants a Tree, Plants A Hope. The students at Uniprep Junior College held a seed planting competition to celebrate Earth Day on the 22nd of April 2019. The owners of the plants that will grow the best at the end of the term will be the winner. This competition does not only involve the students, but also teachers and staff members. A truly inspiring way to get everyone on board and be a part of something extremely important to preserve our Earth.
